Sensex down 115pts; HDFC Bk, Ranbaxy lead fall

The Sensex is now down 115 points 10,458.

HDFC Bank has dropped 4.7% to Rs 733, and Ranbaxy has slipped 4.3% to Rs 415.

Tata Power and HDFC have shed nearly 4% each to Rs 509 and Rs 1,140, respectively.

Reliance Energy, Bajaj Auto and BHEL have declined 3.5% each to Rs 513, Rs 2,740 and Rs 1,905, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's, Tata Motors, HLL, Cipla and ICICI Bank are down over 2% each.

Tata Steel has surged nearly 3% to Rs 495. ONGC has gained 1.7% at Rs 1,185.

ACC and Wipro are up 1% each at Rs 777 and Rs 458, respectively.

The market breadth continues to remain extremely negative - out of 2,373 stocks traded so far, 1,706 have declined, 614 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
