Sensex down 118pts; Wipro drops 3%

The Sensex is now down 118 points at 19,172.

Wipro has plunged over 3% to Rs 462. HDFC Bank has shed 2.7% to Rs 1,575.

Bharti Airtel, SBI and ICICI Bank have slipped over 2% each to Rs 880, Rs 2,220 and Rs 1,180, respectively.

Reliance Energy has dropped 1.7% to Rs 1,789. TCS and Tata Motors have declind 1.5% each to Rs 983 and Rs 983, respectively.

Grasim, Tata Steel, HDFC, Reliance Communications and BHEL are down over 1% each.

Hindalco has gained 1.5% at Rs 192.
