Sensex down 11pts; ITC, Wipro drop 2.5%

The Sensex is now down 11 points at 14,271.

NTPC has soared 4.2% to Rs 143. BHEL and Hindalco have surged around 4% each to Rs 2,543 and Rs 182, respectively.

Reliance Communications has rallied 3% to Rs 451, and Cipla has advanced 2% to Rs 250.

Ranbaxy and Reliance have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 403 and Rs 1,389, respectively. Tata Steel has spurted over 1% to Rs 516.

ITC and Wipro have dropped over 2.5% each to Rs 174 and Rs 634, respectively. Tata Motors has shed 2% to Rs 908.

Satyam and ICICI Bank have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 469 and Rs 971, respectively. Gujarat Ambuja is down over 1% to Rs 136.

Out of 2,630 stocks traded so far, 1,444 have advanced, 1,134 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
