Sensex down 122pts; Satyam spurts 2%

The Sensex is now down 122 points at 14,090.

Gujarat Ambuja has gained 2.5% at Rs 138. Satyam has advanced 2.2% to Rs 475.

Reliance Energy, HDFC, Ranbaxy, Reliance Communications ad ITC have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 514, Rs 1,075, Rs 408, Rs 462 and Rs 175, respectively.

Tata Steel has plunged 10% (Rs 52) to Rs 468. HLL, Tata Motors and Wipro have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 208, Rs 878 and Rs 616, respectively.

Hindalco and ACC have slipped over 2% each to Rs 177 and Rs 1,022, respectively.

Grasim and Larsen & Toubro are down 1.5% each at Rs 2,790 and Rs 1,591, respectively.

Out of 2,671 stocks traded so far, 1,667 have declined, 966 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
