Sensex down 122pts; SBI declines 2%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 122 points at 19,856.

Maruti has plunged over 7% to Rs 1,104, and Mahindra & Mahindra has tumbled 6.3% to Rs 746. Tata Motors has shed 3.4% at Rs 780.

SBI has slipped 1.7% to Rs 2,082. TCS and Cipla have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 1,052 and Rs 182, respectively.

Reliance and Ranbaxy are down over 1% each to Rs 2,793 and Rs 419, respectively.

Reliance Energy has soared 3.7% to Rs 1,786. BHEL has surged 3% to Rs 2,690.

Larsen & Toubro has gained 1.5% at Rs 4,340, and Bharti Airtel is up 1% at Rs 1,005.

Out of 2,780 stocks traded so far, 1,558 have declined, 1,161 have advanced and 61 are unchanged.
