Sensex down 124pts; Reliance down 2%

The Sensex is now down 124 points at 14,757.

ACC and Reliance Energy have tumbled over 3% each to Rs 989 and Rs 592, respectively.

Ambuja Cements, Ranbaxy and Reliance Communications have dropped around 2% each to Rs 127, Rs 360 and Rs 531, respectively.

Reliance has slipped 1.8% to Rs 1,685. SBI, Grasim, NTPC and Hindalco have shed around 1.5% each to Rs 1,539, Rs 2,698, Rs 153 and Rs 154, respectively.

HDFC has declined 1.3% to Rs 1,953. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, ITC, Cipla and Bharti Airtel are down 1% each to Rs 1,135, Rs 974, Rs 156, Rs 216 and Rs 851, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has gained 1.5% at Rs 2,327.

Out of 2,401 stocks traded so far, 1,740 have declined, 609 have advanced and 52 are unchanged.
