Sensex down 125pts; Tata Motors drops 6%

The Sensex is now down 125 points at 15,961.

The NSE Nifty is down 18 points at 4,811.

Tata Motors has plunged over 6% to Rs 637. Satyam has tumbled nearly 3% to Rs 401, and Infosys has shed 2.5% at Rs 1,459.

Reliance has slipped over 2% to Rs 2,250. Larsen & Toubro and Jaiprakash Associated have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 2,997 and Rs 223, respectively.

HDFC and Reliance Energy have declined 1.3% each to Rs 2,624 and Rs 1,280, respectively.

BHEL, Reliance Communications and TCS are down over 1% each at Rs 1,933, Rs 520 and Rs 870, respectively.

Hindalco has surged 3% to Rs 167. Ambuja Cements and Cipla have rallied nearly 2% each to Rs 125 and Rs 209, respectively.

DLF and ITC have gained 1.5% each at Rs 669 and Rs 198, respectively.

ONGC and ACC are up over 1% each at Rs 1,074 and Rs 827, respectively.
