Sensex down 126pts; Tata Steel up 2%

The Sensex has steadied around current levels and is now down 126 points at 10,447.

Tata Steel has rallied 2% to Rs 491, and Hero Honda has added 1.5% to Rs 785.

ONGC, Wipro and ACC are up 1% each at Rs 1,177, Rs 457 and Rs 775, respectively.

Reliance Energy has shed 4% to Rs 510. Ranbaxy and HDFC Bank have slipped 3.5% each to Rs 419 and Rs 743, respectively.

BHEL, Tata Power and Larsen & Toubro have declined 3% each to Rs 1,909, Rs 514 and Rs 2,202, respectively.

HDFC, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Dr.Reddy's are the other major losers among the Sensex stocks.

Out of 2,231 stocks traded so far, 1,594 have declined, 577 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
