Sensex down 128pts; ITC advances 2%

The Sensex is now down 128 points at 14,089.

Satyam has tumbled 5.8% to Rs 485. Ranbaxy has shed 2.5% to Rs 420.

Cipla, Wipro, Reliance Energy and Gujarat Ambuja have dropped around 2% each to Rs 253, Rs 627, Rs 518 and Rs 143, respectively.

Tata Motors, Tata Steel and ONGC have slipped 1.7% each to Rs 927, Rs 468 and Rs 902, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Infosys, NTPC, Bajaj Auto, Maruti, ICICI Bank, BHEL, SBI and Reliance Communications are the other major losers.

ITC has gained 1.7% at Rs 175. Reliance is up 1% at Rs 1,380.

Out of 2,412 stocks traded so far, 1,508 have advanced, 858 have declined and 46 are unchanged.
