Sensex down 128pts; Satyam slips 3%

The Sensex is now down 128 points to 13,887.

ITC has plunged 3.7% to Rs 169. Satyam has tumbled nearly 3% to Rs 501.

Hindalco and Hero Honda have shed 2.5% each to Rs 175 and Rs 758, respectively.

Wipro and HDFC have slipped around 2% each to Rs 607 and Rs 1,576, respectively.

Grasim, TCS, SBI and Bajaj Auto are down around 1.5% each to Rs 2,795, Rs 1,262, Rs 1,247 and Rs 2,802, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has rallied 2.5% to Rs 828. Larsen & Toubro has surged 1.3% to Rs 1,495.

Reliance Energy and Tata Motors are the other prominent gainers.

Out of 2,636 stocks traded so far, 1,566 have advanced, 1,010 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
