Sensex down 131pts; Bharti plunges 7%

The Sensex is now down 131 points at 19,594.

Bharti Airtel has tumbled nearly 7% to Rs 878.

ACC, Reliance Energy and HDFC have plunged around 3% each to Rs 1,020, Rs 1,716 and Rs 2,620, respectively.

Wipro and Hindalco have shed 2.5% each to Rs 486 and Rs 183, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Ranbaxy have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 1,275 and Rs 428, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Mahindra & Mahindra have declined almost 1.5% each to Rs 4,362 and Rs 754, respectively.

SBI has rallied 3.3% to Rs 2,140, and ONGC has surged 2.7% to Rs 1,366.

ITC has gained 2.3% at Rs 176. Maruti and Grasim have moved up 1.4% each to Rs 1,018 and Rs 3,715, respectively.

Infosys and HDFC Bank are up 1% each at Rs 1,890 and Rs 1,693, respectively.

Out of 2,710 stocks traded so far, 1,578 have declined, 1,056 have advanced and 76 are unchanged.
