Sensex down 131pts; Wipro, Satyam plunge

The Sensex is now down 131 points at 10,096.

Wipro and Satyam have plunged over 5% each to Rs 459 and Rs 660, respectively. TCS has shed nearly 3% to Rs 1,792.

Tata Motors has dropped nearly 4% to Rs 662. Hindalco, NTPC and Reliance have declined around 2.5% each to Rs 157, Rs 110 and Rs 980, respectively.

HLL, Tata Steel and SBI are down over 2% each to Rs 225, Rs 467 and Rs 687, respectively.

Out of 2,189 stocks traded so far, 1,652 have declined, 481 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
