Sensex down 132pts; breadth turns negative

The Sensex is now down 132 points at 12,235.

HDFC has dropped 2.7% to Rs 1,437. TCS has shed 2.5% to Rs 990.

BHEL and Reliance Communications have slipped nearly 2% each to Rs 2,324, and Rs 341, respectively.

ITC, HDFC Bank and NTPC have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 185, Rs 907 and Rs 131, respectively.

SBI, Wipro, Dr.Reddy's, Grasim, Hero Honda, Hindalco, Satyam, ACC and Bharti Airtel are down over 1% each.

Reliance Energy and Tata Motors are up around 1% each at Rs 492 and Rs 880, respectively.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,361 stocks traded so far, 1,222 have declined, 1,051 have advanced and 88 are unchanged.
