Sensex down 137pts; DLF, ACC drop 6%

The Sensex is now down 512 points at 16,166.

The NSE Nifty is down 137 points at 4,816.

ICICI Bank has slumped over 8% to Rs 939. DLF and ACC have plunged 6% each to Rs 672 and Rs 740, respectively.

Reliance Communications has tumbled 4.5% to Rs 517. Larsen & Toubro and Reliance have shed 4% each at Rs 3,210 and Rs 2,216, respectively.

HDFC Bank has dropped 3.6% to Rs 1,340. Bajaj Auto and Cipla have slipped 2.7% each to Rs 2,195 and Rs 206, respectively.

SBI, Infosys and Bharti Airtel are down over 2% each to Rs 1,880, Rs 1,439 and Rs 775, respectively.

Maruti has gained nearly 2% at Rs 890, and Mahindra & Mahindra has added 1.3% to Rs 693.

Out of 2,603 stocks traded so far, 2,293 have declined, 275 have advanced and 35 are unchanged.
