Sensex down 13pts; HDFC, BHEL up 2%

The Sensex is now down 13 points at 15,574.

The NSE Nifty is down 21 points at 4,689.

HDFC has surged 2.6% to Rs 2,370. BHEL has rallied 2.2% to Rs 1,750.

Ambuja Cements and Larsen & Toubro have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 120 and Rs 2,622, respectively.

Tata Steel and Cipla have gained 1.3% each at Rs 665 and Rs 215, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has dropped 2.5% to Rs 242.

Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates and Ranbaxy have plunged 2.3% each to Rs 489, Rs 217 and Rs 460, respectively.

ITC has slipped 2% to Rs 204. Maruti and Satyam have declined 1.7% each to Rs 731 and Rs 422, respectively.

Wipro, TCS and Bharti Airtel ahve shed 1.5% each at Rs 408, Rs 873 and Rs 817, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance Energy and Grasim are down over 1% each to Rs 602, Rs 1,137 and Rs 2,531, respectively.

Out of 2,488 stocks traded so far, 1,520 have advanced, 889 have declined and 79 are unchanged.
