Sensex down 141pts; Hero Honda gains 2%

The Sensex is now down 141 points at 12,908.

Grasim has plunged 7% to Rs 2,077. ACC has crashed 6.3% to Rs 781, and Gujarat Ambuja has shed 2.8% to Rs 110.

BHEL has dropped 3.7% to Rs 2,096. ITC, Larsen & Toubro and Cipla have slipped 3% each to Rs 155, Rs 1,475 and Rs 229, respectively.

Hindalco has declined 2.8% to Rs 129. Reliance Communications and Dr.Reddy's are down 2.5% each to Rs 423 and Rs 660, respectively.

NTPC has surged 2.8% to Rs 140. Hero Honda has rallied over 2% to Rs 688.

Tata Steel has advanced 1.8% to Rs 435, and HDFC has added 1.4% to Rs 1,572.

Out of 2,446 stocks traded so far, 1,285 have declined, 1,109 have advanced and 52 are unchanged.
