Sensex down 142pts, Reliance slips 3%

The Sensex is now down 142 points at 10,681.

ONGC has plunged 5% to Rs 1,176. Tata Power and Reliance Energy have shed 3.7% each to Rs 530 and Rs 529, respectively.

HDFC and HDFC Bank have slipped 3.3% each to Rs 1,200 and Rs 760, respectively.

Reliance is down over 3% at Rs 938.

Out of 2,459 stocks traded so far, 1,286 have advanced, 1,121 have declined and 52 are unchanged.
