The Sensex is now down 143 points at 9,543. The NSE Nifty is down 62 points at 2,907.
Tata Motors has plunged 8.8% to Rs 159. Satyam Computer has slumped 5.1% to Rs 133. TCS has declined over 4% to Rs 480.
Reliance Communication has slipped 3.3% to Rs 209. ITC and Mahindra & Mahindra have dropped 3.3% each to Rs 172 and Rs 281, respectively.
Sterlite, Tata Steel and Bharti Airtel are down 2.6% each at Rs 257, Rs 216 and Rs 693, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure, ONGC have lost 2.4% each to Rs 575 and Rs 672, respectively.
DLF has declined 2% to Rs 296.
Ranbaxy has gained 2.7% to Rs 219. ICICI Bank has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 435 and State Bank of India has added 1.1% to Rs 1,278.
BHEL and Hindustan Unilever are up marginally.
