Sensex down 144pts; HDFC up 2%

The Sensex is now down 144 points at 13,506.

Hero Honda has dropped 3.4% to Rs 682. Bajaj Auto and ICICI Bank have shed around 2.5% each to Rs 2,739 and Rs 884, respectively.

ONGC has slipped over 2% to Rs 817. Tata Motors and Satyam have declined 1.5% each to Rs 827 and Rs 455, respectively.

Wipro, ITC, SBI and Hindalco are down around 1% each at Rs 606, Rs 169, Rs 1,077 and Rs 144, respectively.

HDFC Bank has rallied 2% to Rs 970. ACC and Grasim are up 1% each at Rs 956 and Rs 2,365, respectively.

Out of 2,469 stocks traded so far, 1,463 have advanced, 929 have declined and 77 are unchanged.
