Sensex down 145pts; Reliance drops 3%

The Sensex is now down 145 points at 10,623.

Reliance has dropped 2.7% to Rs 1,053. SBI, Tata Motors, HDFC and Tata Steel have slipped over 2% each to Rs 731, Rs 779, Rs 1,199 and Rs 535, respectively.

Reliance Energy, ITC, Maruti, ICICI Bank and Reliance Communications are the other major losers.

NTPC has rallied 2% to Rs 117. Bharti Airtel and BHEL are up 1% each at Rs 1,933 and Rs 370, respectively.

Out of 2,395 stocks traded so far, 1,416 have declined, 892 have advanced and 87 are unchanged.
