Sensex down 149pts; market breadth extremely -ve

The Sensex is now down 149 points at 10,204.

Reliance Communications has plunged over 4% to Rs 239. Hindalco has dropped 3.5% to Rs 158.

Wipro and Gujarart Ambuja have slipped 3% each to Rs 456 and Rs 100, respectively. Grasim has shed 2.4% to Rs 1,930.

NTPC, Reliance and HDFC Bank have declined 2% each to Rs 111, Rs 976 and Rs 713, respectively.

BHEL and Satyam have gained nearly 2% each at Rs 1,847 and Rs 702, respectively. Cipla has added 1.5% to Rs 221.

The market breadth is extremely bearish - out of 2,088 stocks traded so far, 1,583 have declined, 448 have advanced and 57 are unchanged.
