Sensex down 14pts; Wipro, Infosys slip 2%

The Sensex is now down 14 points at 18,479.

ONGC has slumped 4.8% to Rs 1,089. Tata Motors has plunged 2.7% to Rs 775.

Mahindra & Mahindra and Grasim have slipped over 2% each to Rs 758 and Rs 3,620, respectively.

Wipro and Infosys have dropped 1.8% each to Rs 483 and Rs 1,850, respectively.

BHEL and Dr.Reddy's have shed 1.5% each to Rs 2,258 and Rs 626, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, TCS and ITC are down 1% each at Rs 2,494, Rs 1,053 and Rs 143, respectively.

Reliance Energy has zoomed over 6% to Rs 1,618.

SBI has soared over 4% to Rs 1,888. Hindalco has surged 3.5% to Rs 191.

Satyam has moved up 1.8% to Rs 470. Cipla and Tata Steel have gained 1.5% each at Rs 196 and Rs 908, respectively.

NTPC, HDFC Bank and Larsen & Toubro are the other prominent gainers.

Out of 2,691 stocks traded so far, 1,498 have advanced, 1,125 have declined, 68 are unchanged.
