Sensex down 152pts; ONGC, SBI drop 3%

The Sensex is now down 152 points at 9805.

Ranbaxy has dropped 5.4% to Rs 367. NTPC has slipped 4.7% to Rs 101.

ONGC and SBI are down 3.3% each at Rs 1,006 and Rs 813, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Tata Steel and Reliance Energy are down 2.5% each at Rs 2,075, Rs 468 and Rs 415, respectively.

The market breadth continues to remain extremely negative - out of 2,320 stocks traded so far, 2,111 have declined, 179 have advanced and 30 are unchanged.
