Sensex down 153pts; ACC surges 3%

The Sensex is now down 153 points at 19,481.

Hindalco has slipped over 2% to Rs 201. HDFC and BHEL have shed 1.7% each to Rs 2,648 and Rs 2,738, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank and Maruti have declined 1.4% each to Rs 894, Rs 1,632 and Rs 1,039, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Reliance and Tata Steel have dropped 1.2% each to Rs 1,173, Rs 2,820 and Rs 853, respectively.

DLF and NTPC are down 1% each at Rs 938 and Rs 263, respectively.

ACC has surged nearly 3% to Rs 1,115. Ambuja Cements is up 1% at Rs 149.
