Sensex down 155pts, Bharti Airtel slumps 6%

The Sensex touched a low of 10,212 - down 385 points from the day's high of 10,597. The index is now down 155 points at 10,244.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 5.7% to Rs 345. Maruti has shed over 4% to Rs 705.

HLL and Larsen & Toubro have dropped 3.7% each to Rs 225 and Rs 2,234, respectively.

Bajaj Auto and Cipla are down 2% each at Rs 2,663 and Rs 223, respectively.

HDFC and ICICI Bank are up over 1% each at Rs 1,140 and Rs 542, respectively.

Out of 2,374 stocks traded so far, 1,638 have declined, 675 have advanced and 61 are unchanged.
