Sensex down 156pts; Bajaj Auto up 2%

The Sensex is now down 156 points at 19,091.

Bharti Airtel has tumbled 3% to Rs 920. ICICI Bank has plunged 2.6% to Rs 1,127.

Maruti, Reliance Energy and ACC have dropped 2% each to Rs 934, Rs 1,755 and Rs 1,108, respectively.

HDFC Bank has declined 1.5% to Rs 1,620. Reliance and NTPC have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 2,846 and Rs 236, respectively.

DLF and Hindalco are the other major losers.

Bajaj Auto has advanced 1.8% to Rs 2,633. SBI and Tata Steel have gained 1% each at Rs 2,265 and Rs 858, respectively.
