Sensex down 157pts; ICICI Bank slips 3%

The Sensex is now down 157 points at 16,061.

The NSE Nifty is down 47 points at 4,830.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 4.5% to Rs 798. Hindustan Unilever has shed 4% at Rs 235, and ICICI Bank has dropped 3.4% to Rs 850.

DLF has slipped 2.6% to Rs 661. Tata Motors, Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates and BHEL have declined around 2% each at Rs 665, Rs 527, Rs 229 and Rs 1,975, respectively.

Reliance Energy has shed 1.5% at Rs 1,280. Wipro is down 1% at Rs 431.

HDFC has surged 2.3% to Rs 2,650. ONGC and HDFC Bank have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 1,095 and Rs 1,442, respectively.

ITC is up over 1% at Rs 193.

Out of 2,652 stocks traded so far, 1,685 have advanced, 908 have declined and 59 are unchanged.
