Sensex down 158pts; HDFC drops 4%

The Sensex is now down 158 points at 9652.

Dr.Reddy's has gained over 5% at Rs 1,278. Maruti has rallied 2% to Rs 781.

Infosys and BHEL are up 1.5% each at Rs 2,829 and Rs 1,900, respectively.

Infosys, Maruti and HDFC Bank have rallied 2% each to Rs 2,842, Rs 780 and Rs 727, respectively.

HDFC has shed 3.6% to Rs 1,164. RCoVL has dropped 3.5% to Rs 213. Tata Steel is down over 3% to Rs 442.

Out of 2,310 stocks traded so far, 1,254 have declined, 1,006 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
