Sensex down 15pts, Tata Motors drops 3%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 15 points at 10,838.

Infosys and Cipla have gained 2.4% each at Rs 3,038 and Rs 242, respectively.

Tata Power and Satyam are up over 1% each at Rs 512 and Rs 713, respectively.

Tata Motors has plunged 2.6% to Rs 803. SBI is down 2.2% to Rs 863. Reliance Energy has dropped 2% to Rs 516.

ACC, Maruti and Hero Honda have slipped 1.7% each to Rs 787, Rs 777 and Rs 830, respectively.

Tata Steel, Gujarat Ambuja and HDFC Bank are the other major losers.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,506 stocks traded so far, 1,235 have declined, 1,212 have advanced and 59 are unchanged.
