Sensex down 161pts; market breadth extremely -ve

The Sensex is now down 161 points at 10,065.

Wipro has slumped 4.5% to Rs 463. Satyam has shed 4% to Rs 666.

Tata Motors, Hindalco and Reliance Communications have dropped nearly 3% each to Rs 667, Rs 156 and Rs 240, respectively.

NTPC, Maruti and TCS has declined 2.5% each to Rs 110, Rs 733 and Rs 1,796, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,288 stocks traded so far, 1,737 have declined, 490 have advanced and 61 are unchanged.
