Sensex down 161pts; RCoVL zooms 6%

The Sensex is now down 161 points at 9837.

Reliance Communication Ventures (RCoVL) has zoomed nearly 6% to Rs 242. Dr.Reddy's and Ranbaxy have gained nearly 3% each at Rs 1,311 and Rs 380, respectively.

HDFC has dropped 4% to Rs 1,010. Satyam, HDFC Bank and HLL have declined over 3% each to Rs 648, Rs 712 and Rs 215, respectively.

Out of 1,955 stocks traded so far, 1,148 have advanced, 751 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
