Sensex down 163pts; Infosys rebounds, up 1%

The Sensex is now down 163 points at 9647.

Tata Steel, HDFC, Grasim and Reliance Communication Ventures have slipped over 4% each to Rs 436, Rs 1,157, Rs 1,702 and Rs 212, respectively.

HLL and Tata Motors are down over 3% each at Rs 201 and Rs 733, respectively.

Infosys has rebounded into the positive zone and is now up over 1% at Rs 2,820.

Out of 2,222 stocks traded so far, 1,456 have declined, 718 have advanced and 48 are unchanged.
