Sensex down 167pts; breadth still +ve

The Sensex is now down 167 points at 20,209.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 5% to Rs 1,000.

ICICI Bank has dropped 2.5% to Rs 1,259. Maruti and NTPC have slipped over 2% each to Rs 1,051 and Rs 246, respectively.

Ambuja Cements has shed 1.8% at Rs 147. Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have declined 1.6% each to Rs 753 and Rs 1,756, respectively.

ITC has soared 3.3% to Rs 195. Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied 2.8% to Rs 810.

Hindalco and Tata Steel have surged 1.6% each to Rs 209 and Rs 878, respectively.

Out of 2,875 stocks traded so far, 1,990 have advanced, 857 have declined and 28 are unchanged.
