Sensex down 168pts; REL gains 3%

The Sensex is now down 168 points at 14,190.

Satyam has slumped 4.5% to Rs 446. Bharti Airtel has slipped 2.2% to Rs 783, and BHEL has shed 1.8% to Rs 1,574.

Larsen & Toubro, HDFC Bank and Tata Steel have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 2,283, Rs 1,077 and Rs 567, respectively.

Wipro has declined 1.3% to Rs 463. Infosys, Bajaj Auto and Ranbaxy are down 1% each to Rs 1,889, Rs 2,285 and Rs 357, respectively.

Reliance Energy has surged 2.5% to Rs 736.
