Sensex down 16pts; ITC sheds 2%

The Sensex is now down 16 points at 14,437.

Reliance Energy and Tata Steel have surged 2.7% each to Rs 566 and Rs 645, respectively. BHEL has gained 2.4% at Rs 2,739.

HLL and Hero Honda have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 198 and Rs 698, respectively. Larsen & Toubro has added 1.5% to Rs 1,755.

Hindalco has advanced 1.3% to Rs 148, and HDFC is up 1% at Rs 1,814.

ITC has shed 1.8% to Rs 168. ACC has slipped 1.3% to Rs 879, and ONGC has declined 1% to Rs 916.

Out of 2,532 stocks traded so far, 1,259 have declined, 1,188 have advanced and 85 are unchanged.
