Sensex down 174pts; Rel Comm slips 4%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 174 points at 19,417.

Reliance Communications has slumped 4% to Rs 748.

ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have plunged 3.3% each to Rs 1,228 and Rs 911, respectively.

Satyam has shed 2.4% at Rs 453. Tata Motors has dropped 2% to Rs 726.

Tata Steel, Grasim and SBI have slipped 1.5% each to Rs 865, Rs 3,650 and Rs 2,207, respectively.

Hindalco has zoomed over 5% to Rs 193. BHEL and Bajaj Auto have surged 2.5% each to Rs 2,732 and Rs 2,451, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has rallied over 2% to Rs 614. NTPC and Reliance Energy have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 241 and Rs 1,852, respectively.

ACC is up over 1% at Rs 1,020.

Out of 2,763 stocks traded so far, 1,397 have advanced, 1,288 have declined and 78 are unchanged.
