Sensex down 178pts; ICICI plunges 4%

The Sensex is now down 178 points at 13,471.

ICICI Bank has plunged over 4% to Rs 868. Hero Honda has tumbled 3.3% to Rs 683.

Bajaj Auto, ITC, ONGC and Tata Motors have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 2,739, Rs 166, Rs 815 and Rs 820, respectively.

Satyam, HLL and Wipro have slipped around 2% each to Rs 451, Rs 185 and Rs 602, respectively.

HDFC Bank has rallied 1.5% to Rs 966.

Out of 2,534 stocks traded so far, 1,314 have advanced, 1,150 have declined and 70 are unchanged.
