Sensex down 17pts; Cipla goes ex-bonus

After touching a low of 11,966, the Sensex has now recovered some of its losses and is now down 17 points at 12,014.

Hindalco has surged nearly 2% to Rs 215. Tata Steel has spurted over 1% to Rs 663.

Cipla has gone ex-bonus today. The company had issued bonus shares in the ratio of 3:2, ie three free shares for every two held. The stock which closed at Rs 659 on Friday now trades at Rs 259.

Satyam has slipped 2% to Rs 792. Ranbaxy has shed 1.4% to Rs 497. HDFC Bank has dropped 1.3% to Rs 839.

Wipro has slipped over 1% to Rs 542. Infosys is down nearly 1% at Rs 3,267.
