Sensex down 180pts

The Sensex has plunged over 2% (180 points) to 8,307.

ONGC has declined 4% (Rs 38) to Rs 1,001. Reliance is down Rs 19 at Rs 764. HLL is still down 3% (Rs5 ) at Rs 166. SBI is down 2% (Rs 18) at Rs 901. ITC is down a rupee at Rs 139.

Satyam has slipped 3% (Rs 17) to Rs 539. TCS is down 2.7% (Rs 39) to Rs 1,414. Infosys and Wipro are also weak.

Auto, cement and pharma scrips are also deep in the red.
