Sensex down 182pts; Tata Steel drops 3%

The Sensex tumbled to a low of 12,232, and is now down 182 points at 13,248.

Tata Steel has tumbled over 3% to Rs 461. ACC has shed nearly 3% to Rs 1,067.

Dr.Reddy's has declined 2.5% to Rs 717. Tata Motors and ICICI Bank are down 2% each to Rs 793 and Rs 858, respectively.

Reliance Energy and HDFC Bank have shed 1.8% each to Rs 505 and Rs  1,106, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Maruti and Satyam are the other major losers.
