Sensex down 183pts; ACC plunges 5%

The Sensex is now down 183 points at 13,246.

ACC has slumped 4.5% (Rs 50) to Rs 1,047. ICICI Bank and ITC have plunged around 4% each to Rs 839 and Rs 175, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and HDFC Bank have dropped around 3.5% each to Rs 1,306 and Rs 1,088, respectively.

Hindalco, Ranbaxy, Tata Steel, SBI and Cipla are the other major losers.

Hero Honda has surged 3.6% to Rs 719. HDFC has advanced 2.5% to Rs 1,648.

Infosys and TCS have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 2,226 and Rs 1,111, respectively. Satyam is up 1% at Rs 438.

Out of 2,404 stocks traded, 1,748 have declined, 606 have advanced and 50 are unchanged.
