Sensex down 183pts; breadth still very -ve

The Sensex is now down 183 points at 13,908.

SBI has plunged 7% to Rs 1,092. HDFC Bank has dropped 5% to Rs 1,017, and ICICI Bank has shed 4.4% to Rs 912.

Maruti has slipped 5% to Rs 846, and HDFC has slumped 4% to Rs 1,654.

Tata Motors and Grasim are down around 3% each at Rs 841 and Rs 2,664, respectively. Bajaj Auto has declined over 2% to Rs 2,977.

Hindalco has surged 2.5% to Rs 146. Bharti Airtel has spurted 1% to Rs 747.

Out of 2,451 stocks traded so far, 1,744 have declined, 659 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
