Sensex down 186pts; L&T plunges 4.5%

The Sensex is now down 186 points at 13,244.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has shed 4.5% (Rs 61) to Rs 1,294. NTPC, ACC and ICICI Bank have plunged around 3.5% each to Rs 134, Rs 1,058 and Rs 844, respectively.

Tata Steel and ITC have dropped nearly 3% each to Rs 462 and Rs 177, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Dr.Reddy's, HDFC Bank and Maruti are down around 2.5% each to Rs 389, Rs 717, Rs 1,098 and Rs 868, respectively.

Hero Honda has gained 1.5% at Rs 704.

Out of 2,203 stocks traded, 1,705 have declined, 463 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
