Sensex down 190pts; Rel Energy drops 5%

The Sensex is now down 190 points at 17,275.

The NSE Nifty is down 68 points at 5,052.

Reliance Energy has tumbled 4.7% to Rs 1,871.

ONGC has plunged 3% to Rs 967. HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have dropped 2.8% each to Rs 1,405 and Rs 628, respectively.

Reliance and Bharti Airtel have shed 2.5% each at Rs 2,360 and Rs 860, respectively.

SBI, Hindustan Unilever and DLF have declined 2% each to Rs 2,145, Rs 208 and Rs 801, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has slipped 1.8% to Rs 3,465. HDFC is down 1.5% at Rs 2,753.

Satyam has rallied 3% to Rs 422. Infosys has surged 2.7% to Rs 1,594, and TCS has advanced over 2% to Rs 920.
