Sensex down 191pts; SBI rallies 3%

The Sensex is now down 191 points at 18,717.

Bharti Airtel and ONGC have plunged 4.5% each to Rs 830 and Rs 1,183, respectively.

Infosys, Satyam and HDFC Bank have shed 3.7% each to Rs 1,640, Rs 411 and Rs 1,482, respectively.

Bajaj Auto and BHEL have dropped 2.7% each to Rs 2,330 and Rs 2,702, respectively. Tata Steel has slipped 2.5% to Rs 814.

Reliance, TCS, ACC and Wipro have slipped 2% each to Rs 2,680, Rs 966, Rs 1,018 and Rs 451, respectively.

ITC has soared 5.3% to Rs 178. SBI has surged 3% to Rs 2,228.

Hindustan Unilever, Hindalco and Cipla have rallied around 2.5% each to Rs 198, Rs 207 and Rs 182, respectively.

Grasim has moved up 1.7% to Rs 3,563, and Ambuja Cements has added 1.5% to Rs 147.

Out of 2,714 stocks traded so far, 1,785 have declined, 875 have advanced and 54 are unchanged.
