Sensex down 193pts; breadth remains -ve

The Sensex is now down 193 points at 12,931.

TCS has tumbled 4.8% to Rs 1,201. Wipro has plunged 4% to Rs 563, and Satyam has shed 3.7% to Rs 455.

HDFC and Tata Motors have dropped around 3% each to Rs 1,525 and Rs 732, respectively. Infosys has slipped 2.7% to Rs 2,001.

Bharti Airtel and Hindalco have declined around 2.5% each to Rs 757 and Rs 130, respectively.

SBI and ICICI Bank are down 2% each at Rs 993 and Rs 858, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and Ranbaxy have rallied around 3% each to Rs 703 and Rs 338, respectively.

BHEL and ONGC have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 2,284 and Rs 866, respectively. Tata Steel has added 1% to Rs 446.

Out of 2,528 stocks traded so far, 1,811 have declined, 657 have advanced and 60 are unchanged.
