Sensex down 193pts; Maruti slumps 8%

The Sensex is now down 193 points at 19,785.

Maruti has slumped 8% to Rs 1,094. Mahindra & Mahindra has plunged 6% to Rs 748, and Tata Motors has shed 5.5% at Rs 763.

SBI has dropped 2.5% to Rs 2,065. Reliance, Ranbaxy and Grasim have declined around 2% each to Rs 2,768, Rs 415 and Rs 3,734, respectively.

TCS has slipped 1.7% to Rs 1,050, and Cipla is down 1.5% at Rs 182.

Reliance Energy has surged 3% to Rs 1,773.

Larsen & Toubro and BHEL have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 4,354 and Rs 2,658, respectively.

Out of 2,802 stocks traded so far, 1,697 have declined, 1,047 have advanced and 58 are unchanged.
