Sensex down 195pts; HDFC Bank slips 3%

The Sensex is now down 195 points at 19,506.

HDFC Bank has plunged 3% to Rs 1,598. DLF has tumbled 2.5% to Rs 1,058.

BHEL and Reliance have slipped over 2% each to Rs 2,298 and Rs 2,934, respectively.

ICICI Bank and HDFC have also dropped 2% each to Rs 1,295 and Rs 2,795, respectively.

ONGC, Larsen & Toubro and Satyam have shed 1.7% each at Rs 1,229, Rs 4,008 and Rs 366, respectively.

Wipro, Hindalco and Maruti have declined 1.3% each to Rs 454, Rs 188 and Rs 857, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra and NTPC are down over 1% each at Rs 743 and Rs 253, respectively.

Ambuja Cements and Ranbaxy have gained 1% each at Rs 132 and Rs 372, respectively.
