Sensex down 19pts, Reliance firms up

Buying in auto, Reliance and other select old economy stocks has seen the indices move up from lower levels. The Sensex is now down 19 points at 6,432. The Nifty is down four points at 2,041.

Infosys has scaled down 1.73% (Rs 37) to Rs 2,079. While Wipro has lost 1.61% (Rs 12) to Rs 757, Satyam has declined 2% (Rs 9) to Rs 408.

ITC and HLL are down a rupee each at Rs 1,309 and Rs 144, respectively. Reliance, however, has advanced 2.10% (Rs 10) to Rs 496.

SBI and ICICI Bank are down a per cent each at Rs 597 (down Rs 6) and Rs 362 (down Rs 3), respectively.

Grasim has shed 1.79% (Rs 23) to Rs 1,287. While Gujarat Ambuja has declined 2% (Rs 8) to Rs 387, ACC is down a per cent (Rs 2) at Rs 317.

Bajaj has added 2.58% (Rs 28) to Rs 1,128, and Maruti has moved up 2.31% (Rs 11) to Rs 470. Tata Motors is up a per cent (Rs 3) at Rs 506.

Zee has declined 2.40% (Rs 4) to Rs 175, and Hindalco is down a per cent (Rs 13) at Rs 1,300. Bharti, however, is up 1.63% (Rs 3) at Rs 203.
