Sensex down 200pts; Bharti, RCom down 2%

The Sensex is now down 200 points at 19,090.

ONGC and HDFC Bank have plunged 3.3% each to Rs 1,246 and Rs 1,563, respectively.

ICICI Bank has tumbled 3% to Rs 1,168, and SBI has slipped 2.7% to Rs 2,205.

Wipro, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications have shed around 2% each at Rs 466, Rs 881 and Rs 713, respectively.

Grasim has declined 1.8% to Rs 3,546. Tata Motors and BHEL are down 1.5% each to Rs 711 and Rs 2,780, respectively.

ACC has soared 3% to Rs 1,061. Reliance Energy has surged 2.5% to Rs 1,864.

Hindalco has advanced 1.5% to Rs 191, and Hindustan Unilever has added 1.3% to Rs 195.

Out of 2,713 stocks traded so far, 1,572 have declined, 1,068 have advanced and 73 are unchanged.
